Little Dreamers Day Care was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and develop to their fullest potential. Our founders, with over 20 years of combined experience in early childhood education, recognised the need for a daycare that combines academic excellence with emotional support and creative expression.

Infant Care (6 weeks - 12 months)

Gentle, nurturing care for your youngest ones. Our infant programme focuses on sensory exploration, language development through songs and stories, and establishing healthy sleep and feeding routines. Staff ratio: 1:3 as per EYFS requirements.

Toddlers (12 - 24 months)

Active exploration and discovery for curious toddlers. We encourage independence through self-help skills, introduce basic concepts through play, and support social-emotional development. Staff ratio: 1:3 as per EYFS requirements.

Twos Programme (2 years)

Building confidence and independence. Our twos programme features potty training support, expanded vocabulary development, creative arts and crafts, and introduction to group activities. Staff ratio: 1:4 as per EYFS requirements.

Preschool (3-4 years)

Pre-K (4-5 years)

Positive discipline approach focusing on encouragement, redirection, and natural consequences. We work with families to ensure consistency between home and nursery. No physical punishment is ever used.

Attendance & Absence

Please notify us by 9am if your child will be absent. Children with contagious illnesses must stay home for 48 hours after symptoms cease. Full policy available on request.

Complaints Procedure

We aim to resolve concerns promptly. Please speak to your child's key person first, then the manager if needed. Written complaints receive a response within 5 working days.

Enrolment Process

Step 1: Initial Enquiry

Contact us to express interest and receive our information pack. We'll answer any questions and provide details about availability. Waiting list now open.

Step 2: Tour & Meeting

Schedule a visit to tour our facilities, meet our team, and discuss your child's needs and our programme offerings. Tours available from June 2025.

Step 3: Application

Complete and submit the enrolment application along with required documentation including health records and emergency contacts. £50 registration fee applies.

Step 4: Confirmation

Receive your enrolment confirmation and welcome pack with all the information needed to prepare for your child's first day. Deposit of 2 weeks' fees required.

Step 5: Settling In

Gradual settling-in period tailored to your child's needs, ensuring a smooth and happy transition to nursery life. Typically 1-2 weeks.

Step 6: Welcome!

Your child officially joins our Little Dreamers family, beginning their exciting journey of learning and growth.

1. Registration & Enrollment

  • Registration fee of £50 is non-refundable
  • Deposit of 2 weeks' fees required to secure place
  • Deposit refundable against final invoice
  • Places offered subject to availability
  • Priority given to full-time places and siblings

2. Fees & Payment

  • Fees payable monthly in advance by 1st of month
  • Late payment charge: £25 after 7 days
  • Returned payment charge: £35
  • Annual fee review each April
  • Fees apply for booked sessions including absences
  • No charge for bank holidays and Christmas closure

3. Hours & Sessions

  • Open Monday-Friday 7:30am - 6:00pm
  • Closed weekends, bank holidays, and Christmas week
  • Late collection fee: £10 per 15 minutes
  • Repeated late collection may result in loss of place
  • Minimum booking: 2 sessions per week

4. Notice Periods

  • 4 weeks' written notice to reduce sessions
  • 4 weeks' written notice to leave
  • Notice period fees payable in full
  • We reserve right to terminate with 4 weeks' notice
  • Immediate termination for serious breach of policies

5. Absence & Sickness

  • Please notify by 9am if child will be absent
  • No fee reduction for absence/sickness
  • 48-hour exclusion for vomiting/diarrhoea
  • May request medical clearance for return
  • Holiday absence must be notified in advance

6. Funded Places

  • 15/30 hour funding for eligible children
  • Additional hours/services charged separately
  • Parents must provide valid eligibility code
  • Parents must reconfirm eligibility termly
  • Loss of eligibility requires full fee payment

7. Health & Safety

  • Parents must provide up-to-date medical information
  • Prescribed medication only with written consent
  • Child must be well enough to participate
  • We reserve right to refuse admission if child appears unwell
  • Emergency medical treatment authorised as necessary

8. Behaviour

  • Persistent challenging behaviour will be addressed with parents
  • Support plans developed collaboratively
  • External agency involvement may be recommended
  • Serious incidents may result in suspension/exclusion
  • Aggressive behaviour towards staff not tolerated

9. Property & Belongings

  • Label all belongings clearly
  • We accept no liability for lost/damaged items
  • No toys from home except comfort items
  • Appropriate clothing for weather/activities required
  • Spare clothes must be provided

10. General

  • Parents must comply with all nursery policies
  • Changes to contact details must be notified immediately
  • Photos/videos only with written consent
  • Complaints procedure available on request
  • These terms subject to change with 30 days' notice
